The city's building management recorded 24 complaints regarding the large logo that was placed on the rooftop of the company's headquarters in downtown San Francisco. The neighbors expressed their displeasure with the bright lights that were disturbing to them.

This action followed a post by Musk, who acquired the company in October for $44 billion, where he announced that the company's headquarters, now renamed "X," would remain in San Francisco despite "the swirl of death" as other companies were leaving or had left the city.

Musk wrote, "Beautiful San Francisco, even though others are abandoning you, we will always be your friends."
