The short tweet platform "Twitter" has announced new usage rules for using the platform, as it has made some changes with regard to suspended and banned accounts, according to the thread of tweets from the (Twitter Support) account, and the new rules and changes will enter into force as of February 1.
According to what the short-tweet platform said, the platform was “proactively” reinstating accounts that were previously banned, and currently the platform will not reinstate accounts that have engaged in illegal activity, threats of harm, violence, or widespread spam and platform manipulation, or when there was no such thing. A recent call for the account to be reinstated, Twitter further said that starting February 1: "Anyone can appeal an account suspension and have it assessed against our new criteria for reinstatement."
She also explained that going forward, she would take less drastic measures such as limiting the reach of Tweets that violate the policy or requiring you to remove Tweets before you can continue using your account, noting that account suspension would be reserved for severe or persistent violations of our policies.
According to the tweet, serious violations include but are not limited to: "engaging in illegal content or activity, inciting or threatening violence or harm, breaches of privacy, platform manipulation or spam, and engaging in targeted harassment of our users."
Twitter had previously said that accounts would now be banned only if “someone violated the Twitter Rules in a particularly egregious way, or repeatedly violated them even after receiving notices from us, and permanently suspending violators will no longer allow them to create new accounts.”
And she continued, “When we permanently suspend an account, we inform people that they were suspended for abuse violations, explain the policy or policies they violated and what content was violated, and note Twitter’s rules and guidelines. However, violators can resume permanent suspensions if they believe Twitter blocked them in error.” .
